Grass Protection Mesh
“A more natural alternative to impermeable paved surfaces”
This product can be extremely slippery when wet until it has been fully incorporated within the grass. Pedestrians should be made aware of this risk.

Farm Forestry’s Grass Protection Mesh (parking reinforcement mesh) is an improved heavy duty, slip resistant polyethylene mesh for reinforcing grassed surfaces, prone to wear, rutting and smearing. The oscillated mesh structure has been designed to increase traction and improve slip resistance by up to 97% compared to standard straight orientated meshes.

  • Suitable for grassed overflow car parks and light aircraft taxiways.
  • Wheelchair access routes, pedestrian footpaths.
  • Equestrian surfaces, caravan parks, front lawn parking.
  • Permeable reinforcement as compared to tarmac, concrete etc.
  • High level reinforcement - up to 8 tonnes per axle (imposed load).
  • Often preferred by planning authorities as compared to concrete and tarmac.
  • Fast and cost effective installation in comparison to plastic paving grids - no excavation
    or soil removal necessarily required.
  • Easy installation - roll out and pin down using 'U' pins See below
  • 20% Recycled HDPE
  • Widely used for equestrian surfaces, walkways and for anti-poaching gateways.

The following five images show Grass Protection Mesh laid for use as an access track for horses, showing grass beginning to grow through.

Although our mesh is slip resistant, when used to reduce poaching in gateways, it is recommended that sand or a suitable riding surface is laid over the top to prevent horses slipping when the gateway is approached at speed.
