For fixing to internal stakes placed inside, use 1.65m or 1.8m stakes 32/32mm for 1.5m shelters. (Stakes must be no lower than 200mm below shelter top when knocked in.)

Experimental Deer Shelters for Conifers
These should be considered as experimental protection against deer for conifers, to be used in small numbers where conifer element is required within a primarily broadleaved plantation. Two stakes 1.2m or 1.5m high should be used as supports and placed inside shelter and stapled. There is a risk of windblow where conifers are protected in this way, but these shelters are not recommended for use in large numbers
